How many annual leave days do I get?

1–10 years of service: 5 days; 10–20: 10 days; 20+: 15 days.

Can leave carry over?

In principle use it the same year; carryover up to 1 year.

Unused leave must be paid out at 300% of the daily wage.

A total of 13 statutory holiday days; the 2026 State Council notice lists 6 make-up workdays.

3x pay: working the 13 statutory holidays — comp time not allowed

2x pay: working the borrowed weekends — comp time allowed

1.5x pay: the make-up workdays count as ordinary days

Example: 8 hours on Oct 1 at CNY 10K/month → 10000 ÷ 21.75 ÷ 8 × 3 × 8 = CNY 1,379.

5 days of leave + 4 Spring Festival days + 1 swap = a 10-day break.

Used well, annual leave can push your total time off past 30 days a year.
